Room 2 Class Pets

We have been really lucky this year to watch the

t r a n s f o r m a t i o n   of

monarch caterpillars to butterflies

and especially,

tadpoles into golden bell frogs.

Also meet our friend, the skink.

We have learned that death is part of life.  Our goldfish, Spotty, died earlier in the year.  The children wanted to have a formal burial of their pet.  They made cards and crosses.  They formed a procession and Cormac knew how to use the shovel.  This process helps the children to learn about the life cycle of all animals.

  1. I really enjoy visiting the pets in Room 2. The skinks are fascinating. Thanks for looking after the Room 3 frogs while Mrs Hughes cleaned out their cage. You did a great job! Mrs H
